Jun 17, 2019 · I have tried everything suggested on many old threads. These applications stream both data and audio through USB connections. The appear in /dev/bus/usb and WINE has no way to use them as far as I can tell. My current execution stack is WIN 7 PRO <-> VMWare Player <-> Ubuntu 64 19.x. Is USB Support in the to-do queue?

I don't think Wine has access to USB ports. May I ask what are you trying to accomplish? May 13, 2013 · Third party apps such as Q4Wine are not supported here; this forum is for plain Wine only. As for USB support, if the device is pure serial over USB and Linux recognizes it when you plug it in, you might be able to get to work in Wine by symlinking the device to a com port.

Jul 23, 2015 · Dongles don't work in Wine. Someone tried working on it long ago, but gave up. You could try the old patches, but I doubt they apply to current Wine, and last I heard, they didn't work.
