Nov 18, 2015 · I boot from Hiren's Mini Windows XP CD when I need my GPT drives, copy files that I need to yet another external drive, an old 1TB WD that I left in it's original state, backup everything to the big 4GB drive, and reboot from hard disk. Complicated, but I'll survive.

Nov 09, 2014 · Disks exceeding 2TB must use GPT which extends the limit significantly, however Windows XP does not have this support currently. A 32 bit version of windows generally will only see the protective MBR on a GPT disk.

May 28, 2009 · "GPT Mounter provides Windows XP and Windows 2000 users transparent access to GPT-partitioned disks smaller than 2TB." Edit - I just found the FAQ and it definitely does not support 4TB: "Physical disks larger than 2TB are not compatible with GPT Mounter (regardless of the size of the individual partitions).
