In my 2005 Gateway Windows XP after running MSE, MS Safety Scanner, MS Malious Software Removal Tool, MalwareBytes (set to only turn on manually). Firewall turns on in start up (I have seen it in the security center), then firewall turns off about 30 seconds after what appears to be the end of start up.
