In my case my Windows Mobile 6.1 phone needed the intermediary signing certifcate from Thwaite, the phone was OK with the Thwaite root and my server certifcate it just the phone needed the "middle" for the server certifcate to be recognised. Once installed on the phone it worked a treat.
