Oct 18, 2012 · Services for Network File System (NFS) feature is available only in the Windows 8 Enterprise edition.This feature is not available in Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro editions. Users when upgrading from Windows 7 Ultimate or Windows 7 Enterprise edition to Windows 8 Pro edition can no longer use Services for NFS feature.

Update 2012-04-20 – These instructions should now work on Windows 10 Pro (Version 10.0.14393 and above) as mentioned by EyeDocGeek in the comments. This tutorial only applies to the enterprise version of Windows 10 because it is the only version which includes the Services for NFS feature.
