Oct 15, 2002 · Microsoft Recommends that Win98 be installed first. The latest Partition Magic WILL do a convert to the new partition, to FAT 32. If at all possible, I would first format and partition the drive (using Fdisk is fine). Install Win98 on C, make sure all is well. Then install XP. XP, by the way, CAN be installed on the 2nd partition on FAT32, if ya want.
