I've recently upgraded from 32 bit windows 7 professional to 32-bit windows 10 professional. on windows 7 the system properties said that my processor as x86 based but after upgrading to windows 10 it changed and now it says that my processor as x64 based.so I realized that 64-bit computing is not new (which I thought it was) and my processor is really 64-bit capable!

May 12, 2009 · AMD Athlon 64 x2 I believe was The FIRST Windows®-Compatible 64-bit PC Processor. That being said yes you can run 64 bit. The reason your system came with 32 bit is pc's aren't ready to fully run at 64 bit. There are a lot of hardware/sofware compatibility issues. Programs just aren't ready to run at 64 bit. (I can't wait until they do).
