Jul 15, 2019 · Laptops produced at that time were Single Band N(2.4 GHz) cards, thus it has no 5 GHz capability. My Toshiba Laptop from early 2014 is single Band N, a year later ~2015 they started using Dual Band Cards. obviously yours is even older ~2012. To double check, get Wireless chipset details from the Device Manager, and look up the chipset specs.
