I've worked for two different companies that pushed United Way down your throught so bad almost to the point of me questioning the legality in which they do so feeling forced to donate by a portion of your check going there every pay period.

Of course it is not free to you only free to the company, which in a cut throat business world, if they can get away with it they will do it.
