Apr 10, 2007 · As for RAID, it's not that it doesn't support RAID, per se. If you build a hardware RAID solution, with a RAID HBA and several connected drives, then you can use that RAID array as a single large (possibly several terabyte) drive on WHS, or on W2K3 Server.

The software RAID isn't really supported on Windows Home Server, yes there are some hacks you can do, but it will be mostly broken. You are not finding many tutorials on how to do it because earlier because Drive Extender was a somewhat better choice for most people.

Feb 18, 2015 · Just wondering if anyone else is using WHS v1. I have no intention of changing my WHS (unless support is completely withdrawn) so am very interested in how Windows 10 will integrate with WHS v1, I have been using it with Win 7 and 8.1 with no problems at all.

Raid 50 is supported on many motherboards these days and will allow for continuous operations with the failure of any two drives. Hot spares are also supported by many raid chipsets and the latest twist (RAID 6) can keep on trucking with two drives down.

Feb 07, 2010 · I'm a little concerned, I went to the SiliconImage.com site and looked at the driver downloads for that card, and the older drivers that used to be available aren't there any more. The oldest driver for non-RAID support says "Vista" on it, not XP or Server 2003. I sure hope that works.
