Jul 12, 2010 · FreeMarker is not the same thing as Velocity. Please associate the extension with the correct file type. I'm not very familiar with freemarker so I might be doing something wrong. I need to modify one of the freemarker templates included with Struts2. The first thing I noticed was freemarker templates with .ftl

In WebStorm, a library is a file or a set of files whose functions and methods are added to WebStorm's internal knowledge in addition to the functions and methods that WebStorm retrieves from the project code that you edit. In the scope of a project, its libraries by default are write-protected.

Velocity/FreeMarker support in only available IntellJ IDEA Ultimate. Unfortunately migrating it to WebStorm is not an easy task, as Velocity plugin heavily relies on Java... So currently we have no plans to provide Freemarker/Velocity template engine support in WebStorm.

It is pretty ridiculous to pay for a $100 Webstorm license and in order to get Java support I have to run the free community edition separately. This is especially ridiculous when the suggested solution is to pay $500 for an Ultimate edition license just to be able to run it …
