Nov 17, 2017 · Hello, What I experienced is that Windows is not able to mount webdav volumes behind a Reverse Proxy and SSL Because the SNI (Server Name Indication) is still not supported by the Windows Explorer (not like Internet Explorer, which does support SNI).

I recently bought a new Windows 8 laptop, running Excel 2010 and now I can't get access to the same external data. Apparently Basic Authentication for WebDAV on Windows 8 is not by default enabled. Searching the internet I only find solutions to enable Basic Authentication for WebDAV for windows version older than Windows 8.

Feb 06, 2014 · I have computers running xp, win 7, win 8 - ie 7,8,9,10 and 11 in different combinations and using the httpfolder function of webdav i can connect to shares over SSL. However with the windows 8.1 update this functionality has stopped and emplyees are unable to access drives through these links. Does anyone know a way around this?
