My setup: WD TV Live connected to suround received via toslink (audio settings = digital) My receiver is a Harman Kardon HS 350 and it has the latest firmware. If I take one of my DVD:s and just copy it to the network store with both AC3 and DTS then the WD TV Live can play it fine with both AC3 and DTS. But when plying mkv files with DTS ...

Oct 15, 2015 · Same here.Remember the wd tv first gen.It never support simple dts.But the wd tv live has many more support than the first gen and i hope the dts-ma is in the progress for the new firmware. Actually of more pressing nature, in my personal opinion, is for WD to support 5.1 AAC and 5.1 FLAC by converting these into 5.1 LPCM.

WD does not support DTS technology on the original WD TV HD Media Player (WDAVx00) or the WD TV Mini Media Player. I have a Roku 2011 model, Samsung 2011 model, Chromecast 2013 model and Sony media player 2011 model besides this WD TV 2013 model. I bought this 2013 model WD TV after reading the rave reviews written everywhere about WD TV. It did not live up to my expectations. Out of all the players I this is the least preferred for my use.
