It would be great if I can read .flv files on my WD TV Live Media Player. What a disappointment !! because the french channel Arte podcasts some of their emissions under this format, and I cannot read my downloaded videos from Arte on my WD TV Live.

Jul 20, 2016 · They are not supported on the original WD TV HD Media Player, or the WD TV Live HD Media Player. - FLV file extensions are NOT supported. You will need to use conversion software to convert them to a supported format.

Oct 15, 2015 · Sure, if it does playback FLV with Codec H.264 then thats great. (personally haven’t tested) But if your downloading FLV from the Net, then there’s no guarantee that they will be H.264 FLV. So you will still have to convert. (or at least know how to… when the situation arises)

According to the SMP specs the format is supported. How are you trying to playback the FLV, by USB, Media Server or Network Share?
