Oct 15, 2015 · I want to stream my music files from my Synology DS212j server where the files are 90% in flac format. When I investigated media streamers the info on WD TV Live said that flac is an accepted format. Now I am connected no flac files will play. wav files are OK. Is there some setting that I need to change or will it really not play flac files? If so an expensive useless piece of kit. Alan Hunt

Mar 31, 2016 · My WD-TV Live Hub won't play ALAC, only FLAC. I guess I prefer ALAC for now as I like iTunes on Windows for managing my digital music. I like to drag-n-drop my purchased downloads onto iTunes and have it rename the files and put in folders automatically to keep things organized.

Mar 24, 2010 · Wd Tv I have both the original WDTV and the WDTV Live. The Live is a big improvement over the original and I am pleased with both models. I use them both for playing ripped dvd's and with the live I have it set up on the network with my iMac from where I can add or delete files from the drives attached to the WDTV Live.
