In case your AVR doesn’t support DTS Digital, you can convert DTS to AC3 codec. All the WD TV boxes can decode AC3 5.1, and you just need to convert the audio from DTS to AC3 to get 5.1 sounds played properly from WD TV.

Oct 15, 2015 · Hi My problem is that I can’t get digital AC3 output in MKV or AVI video files to my TV, although, curiously the AC3 audio does work in mp4 files. Other audio streams (AAC, MP3, eg) in video files work fine. My set up is WD Live Hub via HDMI to Samsung LN22C350 22inch LED TV. The WD audio output is set to Digital Pass Through. Oct 15, 2015 · The MKV file contains DTS Audio and my Home theater not support DTS, there is a way to play the MKV file, and select AC3 Audio file in the audio list? i mean i will put 2 files in the same folder Movie1.mkv, Movie1.aac ... Oct 15, 2015 · Same here.Remember the wd tv first gen.It never support simple dts.But the wd tv live has many more support than the first gen and i hope the dts-ma is in the progress for the new firmware. Actually of more pressing nature, in my personal opinion, is for WD to support 5.1 AAC and 5.1 FLAC by converting these into 5.1 LPCM.
