Oct 15, 2015 · Hello, I have an old NetCenter hard drive. I would like to dispose of it but I want to format the hard drive first to erase any data on it. How can I connect the hard drive to a computer to format it? I have Windows 7 but I also have Ubuntu. If I could access this drive via Ubuntu and write zeros across the drive, that would be great. Microsoft Windows 10 could be using networking protocols which may not be supported by the app. Try manually mapping your unit using its IP address in order to verify if you are able to have direct access.

May 09, 2018 · Does WD even have support anymore? I’ve put in 2 tickets to their support over 3 weeks ago and received zero response on either of them. Beyond frustrated as I paid for a product that miraculously stopped working because of the way they support it.
