Jun 30, 2016 · DX11 was getting 46fps, dx 12 only 35, huh, then I realized that dx12 is only running one of my cards, so Im wondering if there is a way to enable crossfire with DX12 specifically, other than forcing crossfire across my whole pc?

You're best just spending the money on a top end card that can handle anything, and buying a second when you need to, in hopes that companies get their **** together and make it actually work.
