Jun 25, 2012 · When imputing income for child support, which W-2 amount is to be used? Box 1 that shows wages, tips and compensation, or box 6 that shows Medicare, wages and tips? My ex-wife's attorney is using box 6 as the amount for imputing income. Box 1 is the amount used to file taxes so I was curious to make sure this is accurate.
