On systems with an AMD CPU, this won’t be a problem. The AMD-V feature is always enabled, so there’s no BIOS or UEFI setting to change.

Mar 22, 2018 · Please note that these CPU flags (vmx or svm) in the cpuinfo means that your system will support VT. In some CPU models, the VT support might be disabled in the BIOS, by default. In such cases, you should check your BIOS settings to enable VT support. For more details about grep/egrep command, refer the man pages.

VT-x or VT-d can be enabled or disabled through your BIOS only and its a Processor level feature. Check you processor manual to find if it supports VT-x or VT-d. If you laptop supports it, you will have the option to enable or disable it from BIOS.
