Jun 10, 2015 · This does disable Fusion Drive technology and FileVault 2 encryption but if your not using that it shouldn't matter. After disabling reboot into recovery mode by holding CMD+R at startup then diskutility should allow you to resize the volume by dragging the bottom corner around.

Jun 15, 2011 · In my case BootCamp Assistant stalled and could not recreate a larger bootcamp partition. What I did is boot form the external OS X drive, format the entire internal drive in 2 partitions (one of OS X and one for Windows) and then restore both images (OS X with SuperDuper and Windows with Winclone). It worked perfectly. Time consuming but it works.
