I am running a VNC server on Linux and a TightVNC viewer (ver.1.3.10 from 2/10/2009) on Windows with 2 monitors attached to it. I would like to have a full-screen session on both monitors at the same time, but whenever I do that, my full-screen always uses only one monitor.

Aug 30, 2010 · Lets say you're sitting at your computer and it has a single monitor. You remote in to another PC via VNC and that one has dual monitors. Exactly how is it you think you're going to display those dual monitors on your single? If you have dual monitors, then you have dual monitors and enabling it on the remote computer becomes a moot point.

I just scroll to the virtual screen and i get two screens.... it would be cool tho to just connect to the virtual screen. So, the only missing feature in ultravnc right now is the virtual monitor driver. I would use Maxivista but it won't run on the old linux box (the client) and using VNC, is just more standard. Although all the other software on our systems work with both monitors and our dual monitors are isolated as such. My monitors even have their own task bar so they are isolated but also shared at the same time because i can move items between them and also capture the screen of one at a time if i want. Just remember to disable it before using VNC between the two (I do that when I take my laptop into another room so can't use Synergy) because the mouse tends to disappear at the screen edge! The MaxiVista thing would be cool though. And definately need multiple monitor support - I'll have to stick with Real/TightVNC for now. Dave
