Jun 13, 2012 · "Your CPU does not support long mode. Use a 32bit distribution." The hosting server supports the "lm" flag in /proc/cpuinfo. But it seems that the "lm" CPU flag is not available within the virtual machine, also the machine is marked with 64-bit. I think RedHat Enterprise EM64T should work inside a virtual machine.

And it’s not related to Hyper-V or new Windows 10 security enhancements (see this post), but simply that your CPU does not support “Intel VT-x” or “Intel EPT” hardware-assisted virtualization accelerations (or the same for AMD), that are now both mandatory for Workstation.

Jan 20, 2011 · I have a Dell PowerEdge 2950 that has 2 3.0 Ghz dual core Xeon processors, with 4 GB of Ram. I want to use VMware ESX 3.5 Server for Red Hat Linux Enterprise 5 64 bit. When I start the Virtual machine I get "Your Computer does not support Long mode. Use a 32bit distribution."

Nov 24, 2016 · This issue occurs if the VT option in the BIOS of the ESX server is not enabled. However, if the option has been enabled but you are still encountering the issue, check if the ESX is a standard machine that is on the hardware check list (HCL). The Paravirtualization should not be enabled for the guest, since it is only supported for 32-bit guests.

Nov 03, 2018 · Restart your system and now start emulator, it should work without any problem. But Genymotion might not work if you enable Windows Hypervisor as Virtual Box does not support nested virtualization and thus making Hardware Acceleration unaccessible.
