I'm trying to get an application running under a Windows XP guest on Workstation 6.5.1, but the app appears to require not only DirectX 9 but when I start it, I get the following dialog box: Attached is the vmware.log file which I think shows that DirectX 9 is correctly configured for the guest and host.

Nov 08, 2017 · As the title suggests, does VMware have any plans to support DX11? Some of the big games now that I use VMware primarily for are starting to drop DX9 or DX9e(x) support. Newer games are also coming out without DX9 support. I know I can Bootcamp and I know some games are available via Asypr, and Steam is very good at making cross-play a thing.
