Oct 23, 2018 · The KB says nothing on Windows 8 or Server 2012 support (Link). In the computability OS guide it stated the the PVSCSI adapter is supported on Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8. Using the 2008 PVSCSI FLP image will install the PVSCSI driver in Windows 8 and Server 2012. Guest OS Customization support

Jul 03, 2013 · Low and behold, I had one of these tasks last week. I needed to spin up a virtual machine running Windows Server 2012 on VMWare Workstation 8. For those that don’t know, the current release of VMWare Workstation is version 9. This version fully supports Windows Server 2012, but version 8 does not. And this was the crux of my problem.

Nov 11, 2012 · Let me clarify. The host OS is a Windows 7 64 bit. I am trying to install Windows Server 2012 as a guest OS (VM) using Workstation 8. I tried burning the ISO file to a DVD and it still did not work. There is no choice for Windows Server 2012 VMs from Guest Operating System dropdown.
