Dec 04, 2009 · I have Canon EOS 1D Mark II camera only way I can communicate with my PC is via Firewire port. Now I have upgraded to Windows 7 64 Bit, and it looks like Canon is no longer issuing the driver. Hope you guys have some brilliant idea on this without dual booting the PC.. ^^ Thanks.

Sep 29, 2009 · It isn't about Linux vs. Windows hosts. VMware Server does not support USB 2.0. If you need that, try Workstation 6. We don't also don't directly support Firewire (either 400 or 800) in any of our products (although if you only want to mount a Firewire disk, you can mount it on the host and then add a physical disk to the VM).
