    Mar 02, 2010 · Based on the compatibility page from VMware, I can see that Windows Server 2008 R2 is supported but when I configure the "Guest operating system" I see the OS being listed as: "Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit) (experimental).

    Nov 03, 2009 · We're running a few VM's with Windows 2008 R2, and they run just fine. Make sure when you install the VMware Tools, you uncheck the SVGA drivers. Installing those will cause your BSOD and Hanging issues. If you search the forums, you'll see lots of posts with the same issue...
