Feb 04, 2008 · I have a question about the sound card for the VMware Workstation. Does it support ASIO? My actual sound card lacks ASIO support so the latency with my midi controller is very poor in windows. In linux however, this is not a problem. I was wondering if I could run a windows VM on top of linux, and just use my midi controller there (it's USB).

Aug 24, 2017 · The easiest way I found was to get a USB sound card, plug it into the host and add it to the VM as a USB Device. Works well for my setup, but I don't think it would work in a redundant environment. Does VMware have drivers for these types of cards ? Which model of card did you use ?4.3/5(262)
