Mar 18, 2010 · Hi, I have VMWare ESX Server 3i (Version 3.5.0, build - 123629) running on a server. I want to install Mincrosoft Windows Server 2008 Standard R2 as a VM on the server, but I am not sure if it is supported on ESX Server 3i and version 3.5.0, can someone please confirm if it is supported or not?

Sep 06, 2010 · first of all, the second release candidate version of the 2008 operating system is way old, this would have come out before Vista. Did you mean Windows Server 2008 R2 instead? Which version of vmware are you using? Is it VMware Server 2.0? Normally, the guest and the host do NOT share the same IP address, although they do share the same NIC.
