Then I learned that they have Direct3D support as well (many claim that even WC3 works) but it doesn't work for me with FC5. vmware says it can't create a 3d object and disables 3d support. I've downloaded BillardGL from sourceforge compiled and run it without any problems so I know my GL system is intact.

Mar 21, 2018 · I set up VMWare Workstation (free) at home this weekend, and have a Windows 7 Pro VM installed. That's all running quite well. The one limitation that I've run into is that I can't pass my GPU on my host through to the guest VM, so any graphical stuff on the VM is handled by my CPU.

VMware, from what I can tell, only supports up to DirectX 10 in Windows guests running on the emulated graphics (no GPU pass-through). Are there any plans to extend this to DirectX 11 in, say, VMware 13? I believe DirectX 10 and 11 are fairly similar.
