I ignored because I didn't need 3D on the guest until now. - The Accelerate 3D is checked in the guest settings - Windows 7 Host has directX and 3D and AGP all enabled and running just fine.

So I'm running VMware Workstation 12 Player on 16.04 host. And every guest i run complains that "No 3d support is available from the host" and "Hardware graphics acceleration is not available" "Accelerate 3D graphics is checked off in the player.

Jan 23, 2015 · running W10 as a GUEST on VMware WKS 11 / vmplayer 7 message is no 3d support from Host. However the VM seems to work perfectly and I'm not getting as far as I can see any degradation on graphics --play an old game like spider solitaire - if the card movements are jerky then graphics are not working properly.
