Aug 08, 2009 · I have used Windows 2008 Failover clusters in exactly this configuration before - boot volume on iSCSI SAN, and data volumes on iSCSI SAN connected via iSCSI initiator inside the virtual machine. I have received support from both VMware and Microsoft in this configuration.
