Jul 12, 2010 · If you use VMware Server, it's not VMware's turn to know about iSCSI but the OS's one. So you have to look to your Host OS for iSCSI support. Your Host OS and it's initiator will then create a file system, that you can use to store your VMware guests. ESX(i) can use iSCSI targets and create datastore on them also (built in iSCSI initiator).
