Jan 23, 2018 · I set up a vSphere 6.5 at home (lab environment using all physical devices). If I remote into one of the VM's from outside my network, I notice all kinds of lag/latency. The CPU, memory & network traffic is barely touched. I wonder if the graphic card has something to do with it. The graphics is not a very high end card.

Jul 06, 2013 · Beginning in ESXi 5.1, VMware supports hardware accelerated graphics with select NVIDIA GPUs. Earlier ESXi 5.0 added support for 3d graphics with software renderer. You can even VMotion running 3d applications between systems regardless if they have a GPU.

The hardware your virtual machine sees is virtual, not actual hardware.
