Aug 19, 2006 · First, on requirements its says, it has to be a pentium compatible CPU. well ViaC3 IS pentium compatiable, because the cmov implementation is only a \*could be* not a \*have to be*. sure, mostly others do, but not via. Do you plan to be VM Server working without cmov instructions ? or you have other good ideas, how to get it running ? \----

I am having some success getting my guest OSes to work on VMware Server 1.0.1 hosted on CentOS 4.4 running on a mini-ITX motherboard/1Ghz VIA C3 Nehemiah CPU. After reading through some posts here, it didn't sound like this CPU would work because it doesn't support the x86 CMOV instruction. Strangely, my /proc/cpuinfo reports:
