Wondering if there's any update on the oft-asked status of DirectX 11 support in Fusion 11? ArcGIS Pro 2.3 now lists DirectX 11 as a minimum requirement (2.2 did not), and it runs like molasses on my early 2013 15" MacBook Pro Retina w/2.8Ghz i7 & 16gb.

Mar 29, 2017 · VMware Tools updated to the latest VMware Workstation 12.x For guest OS, windows XP peaks at OpenGL 2.1. There is no support for OpenGL 3.x in XP. DirectX also caps at DX9 for Windows XP. hope this helps,--Wil

Jun 22, 2017 · anyway is there any program or solution to finding a virtual machine program that supports direct X 11 or a fix for making VM work with direct X 11.VM cannot run DX11. DirectX11/OpenGL 4.x needs to have direct access to GPU registers which is impossible in VM, because it provides only virtualized graphics.

VMware, from what I can tell, only supports up to DirectX 10 in Windows guests running on the emulated graphics (no GPU pass-through). Are there any plans to extend this to DirectX 11 in, say, VMware 13? I believe DirectX 10 and 11 are fairly similar.
