Aug 16, 2007 · You may find you can just run a 64-bit VM already if it supports VT/AMD-V and EM64T - VMware Server supprots 64-bit guests when these requirements are met. If it doesn't work, have a look in the BIOS, VT is often disabled by default. Like Show 0 Likes (0)

Apr 09, 2006 · What kind of 64-bit support? If you mean 64-bit guests, VMware Server has had that since the first beta. If you mean 64-bit hosts, VMware's binaries are 32-bit that run just fine on a properly configured host OS.

Nov 30, 2009 · You need to have Intel VT or an appropriate AMD processor to run 64 bit guests under any VMware product. That is technically required. Not for paravirtualization reasons, as this is not related to 32 or 64 bit, but due to memory management requirements.

If you mean 64-bit hosts, VMware's binaries are 32-bit that run just fine on a properly configured host OS. (Windows x64 is fine by default; on Linux, usually some 32-bit libraries are required). Claims that the binaries need to be 64-bit is FUD.
