If encryption is enabled on a vSAN cluster, any core dumps in the vm-support package are encrypted. You can collect the package from the vSphere Web Client, and you can specify a password if you expect to decrypt the core dump later. May 24, 2011 · You can eventually use the plink.exe command from the PuTTY Suite and set up a SSH connection to the COS (for ESX) or the Remote Tech Support (ESXi). From the SSH session you cna start the vm-tools command and with pscp.exe you can get the resulting file to your PC.
