Jan 10, 2013 · The checkbox to install Hyper-V in Windows 8 Pro is disabled. Hovering over it reveals the message, "Hyper-V cannot be installed: Virtualization support is disabled in the firmware." There is a virtualization option in the UEFI settings that was previously disabled, but I enabled it.

Sep 15, 2015 · I have enabled Virtualisation in the BIOS but when I go into turn Windows features on and try and enable it, the option is greyed out with the tooltip: Hyper-V cannot be installed. Virtualisation support is disabled in the Firmware. Any ideas? Thanks

Nov 05, 2015 · I am running Windows 10 Enterprise on an HP Pavilion desktop with UEFI (so says the BIOS). Somehow, the Windows features installer is reporting "Hyper-V cannot be installed: Virtualization support is disabled in the firmware." when I mouse-over on the feature installer checkbox for "Hyper-V Hypervisor" (under the Hyper-V Platform node).
