DirectX11/OpenGL 4.x needs to have direct access to GPU registers which is impossible in VM, because it provides only virtualized graphics.

I see that Directx 11 is supported on the Server 2012 using the update process, but I'm not sure how to modify the virtual graphics card image in order to make use of Directx or some other accelerated graphics platform.

does anyone know if there is currently any virtualisation software that supports creating a Windows 10 virtual machine with support to DirectX 11?
