Jan 21, 2010 · Essentially after vB 3.8.4 PL2, vB stopped using the vBulletin license number as a salt for the cookie hashing. This patch changes the admin configuration screen to prompt the user to enter the new value if the version of vB they select is 3.8.4 PL2 or greater (using Ajax).
