Mar 03, 2017 · Hello vbfrums I'm storing textboxes' text, size, font and color in an ini file. In the IDE design , I can use all available fonts with no issue. but when I call these fonts from the ini file, I can just see strange symbols, except for: MS Sans Serif But When I tested on another pc running Windows 8 , even MS Sans Serif font was showing just symbols in textboxes.

Internally, VB6 stores strings as Unicode. Your VB6 program is capable of manipulating strings in any language containing any character -- whether it's Chinese, Japanese, Icelandic, Arabic, etc. It's fully Unicode capable. A single string may contain characters in multiple languages.

Jul 18, 2014 · we have a application written in vb6, we also have the multilingual support for this application, we provide all the user message along with the ID's in .LNG file but application is not supporting the Unicode language like Japanese, Chinese etc.,can anyone suggest how to proceed the minimum change in the code and make this work !!!
