May 28, 2006 · I have just installed iLife 05 and when I try to open Garageband2 I get a window telling me that the Instrument Library is invalid! <The Instrument Library is invalid. GarageBand expects a valid Instrument Library folder in /Library/Application Support/GarageBand.

After installing a new system on another drive, using macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 and Garageband v10.1.6, I cannot see my instruments anymore. They do not show up in Garageband. Where in the SYSTEM FOLDER (library / application support) does my .patch files need to reside for the smart control and instrument to show up in GB??---

Apr 14, 2011 · Then go to Macintosh HD, then go to Applications folder inside that is another folder called Utilities inside that is an application called Disk Utility. Double click on that and when it opens you will see your hard drive (usually Macintosh HD) on the left. Highlight your hard drive and click on Verify Disk on the right.5/5(9K)

Aug 12, 2013 · The new folder I created on my external drive for Logic. Navigate to Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Logic/, select the EXS Factory Samples folder and copy it (Command + C). Head to your external hard drive and paste this folder (Command + V) into the “Logic Instruments” directory you created earlier.

Move the GarageBand folder contents into another folder (I did not move the GarageBand folder itself, in case the app wants to have it on the same hard drive for any unknown reasons). The three directories to move are named Apple Loops, Apple Loops Index, and Instrument Library.

Jun 25, 2015 · I put Garageband back in my Apps folder. It didn't work when I opened it (something about an instrument library being invalid, what ever.). So I reinstalled iLife 09 from the disc, and now Garageband opens properly. The problem is that there are no (0) instruments in the library …
