Apr 24, 2008 · My mouse worked OK with Edgy, and it’s a USB mouse so I don’t think the USB alone has anything to do with it. The virtual pc doesn’t recognize USB, it creates a “fake” mouse and translates calls from the real computer’s mouse into the guest OS.

Jun 07, 2009 · Install the printer on your virtual PC, after you have set up both the host PC (x64) and the virtual PC (XP 32 bit) for file and print sharing on a local network. then on the host PC go to ypur printer and fax setup, hit add printer. pick add network printer. On the next screen pick the 2nd choice

I stabled across this old thread as well wondering the same thing how do I make the USB devices available to Virtual PC 2007 evironments? I was a little disappointed to learn that MS does not directly support anything beyond keyboard and mice.

Feb 26, 2009 · I just installed VPC 2007 with Vista-64 as host and XP-Pro as guest. My printer is connected to the host PC via USB and is then shared across my home LAN. Since VPC does not recognize USB connections, there is no printer listed in the guest Device Manager. Therefore I can't install an XP printer driver on my guest.
