Jan 10, 2008 · In a word No. ESX has no USB support. however RDP doe have device redirection and can read and attatch to things like USB storage devices and Printers, for things like scanning (Twain redirection) it is best to either use a dedicated scanning workstation.

USB devices are currently not supported for ESX 4.0 and below. If a software that is intended for use in the virtual machine requires a dongle, it may be possible to use a parallel port device instead.
