Mar 16, 2010 · Esxi 4and Esx 4 both allow you to add on USB controller and which is detected by the Guest operating system. So if I can not use it why provide option to add the device. I needed have USB connectivity to use it with backup software in our QA environment.

Aug 07, 2009 · Is there a way to add a serial 56k Modem to a ESXi 4 Host and use it with Winfax software on a Windows 2003 VM guest ? When I configure Serial Port 0 and 1 on the VM settings i select " Use physical serial port on the host "but then in the drop down menu no device is shown.. Any suggestion ? Thanks

In fact, ESXi 4.0 DOES support Jumbo Frames on VMkernel networking interfaces. The correction will hopefully appear in a new release of the documentation, but in the meantime, go ahead and configure Jumbo frames for your ESXi 4.0 hosts.
