Jan 12, 2014 · One USB port is plugged into a power supply and servs power to the USB device (USBstick, ext. drive) into a combined USB. BTW: If there is no support of usb host by the kernel, that shouldn't work. Maybe it's possible to add 5v power to the usb-port inside Kindle Fire HD (Hardware MOD) and someone enables usb host module in the kernel.

Sep 22, 2018 · Yup, just like Samsung Galaxy S II that supports USB Host OTG (too bad that HTC One X does not support it officially). Kindle Fire with Android 4.0 ICS ROM with 3.0 kernel supports it too. Although it is not fully functional now. But rest assures that developers will continue their hard work to make it happens soon.

Please make sure your tablet has a USB Type A Female to accept this plug type. Also, your device must have a USB host in order for the keyboard to function. Please consult the manufacturer of your tablet for those details. for my Kindle Fire 1st Generation. I got the adapter to connect the A female to USB micro on the Kindle.
