May 24, 2011 · Question: Q: update boot support partitions for the Volume as required I repair the Disk there was a message to update the boot camp partition for the Volume I'm a bit lost why the Volume is not recognizing the update ( i'm running 3.2 boot camp) I did from the Window side.

I rand Disk Utility over the drive and the operation finished with the message: Updating boot support partitions for the volume as required. Its a FAT32 partition, it already existed, and it was not bootable so its not clear to me what required updating. Dec 23, 2010 · If the message is "Updating boot support partitions for the volume AS required," as in the sample below, all it means is Disk Utility is doing that as/if necessary. It's not an error message, and there's nothing you need to do. What's important is whether you got the "appears to be OK" message.

Mar 08, 2014 · When i updated my Mac Pro to 10.9.2 it stopped ready my external hard drives, i did verify disk and repair it gave me "Updating boot support partitions for volume as required". Everything was fine before the update. Please help

Aug 24, 2015 · Last week I have done my update to windows 10 from windows 8.1. I had no problems. But yesterday I have done some updates and my uefi boot partition was broken: I have dual boot system - windows and opensuse linux - and I can't load boot loader, I can only run windows 10 selecting it from bios boot order menu. I can't boot no more onto opensuse.

Oct 09, 2011 · After working for ever to restore the my hard drive, I've run repair and received the following: the volume Macintosh HD was repaired successfully volume repair complete AND Updating boot support partitions for the volume as required.
