Aug 18, 2007 · Laptop Dell XPS M1530 w/native Ubuntu 8.04. Found that reconnection after turning mouse off and then on, did not automagically happen. So, I added the lines described above to /etc/init.d/bluetooth and that worked. Now if bluetooth on the laptop is enabled, then turning on the mouse and clicking a button causes the mouse to get reconnected.
