Mar 16, 2009 · Tversity doesn't do .mkv files on the fly where PS3 MS does play them. Using Mkv2Vob and then streaming the VOB file (With DTS) over to the PS3 works a treat and doesn't use much bandwidth. One problem i've found with PS3 Media Server is that some .mkv files use way too much bandwidth and i get stuttering during playback.

I am able to stream MKV files using TVersity without issue. Are you able to play MKV files in Windows Media Player? It’s a good test to see whether you have the correct codecs installed for MKV files / common HD codecs contained within them.
